If you know how to do this properly, please guide me. This is my first time to compile a source code from other sources, so I do not quite understand how the whole thing works fully yet.

And the result from step 5 renders me unable to go on. Stop.įrankly, I think something is very fishy since the step 4. Make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. MyMac:macbuild myName$ …/configure -disable-sharedĬhecking host system type… i386-apple-darwin9.7.0Ĭhecking target system type… i386-apple-darwin9.7.0Ĭhecking build system type… i386-apple-darwin9.7.0Ĭonfigure: error: unknown system type i386-apple-darwin9.7.0. Mkdir macbuild cd macbuild …/configure -disable-shared make sudo make install

So logically, “setenv MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET 10.2” should become “export MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET=10.2”īash-3.2$ export MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET=10.2īash-3.2$ export NEXT_ROOT=/Development/SDKs/MAcOSX10.2.8.sdkīash-3.2$ export C_INCLUDE_PATH=/usr/local/include:/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.2.8.sdk/usr/includeīash-3.2$ export LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib:/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.2.8.sdk/usr/lib/gcc/darwin/3.3īash-3.2$ export CPPFLAGS=-DMAC_OS_X_VERSION_MAX_ALLOWED=1020 Setenv MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET 10.2 setenv NEXT_ROOT /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.2.8.sdk setenv C_INCLUDE_PATH /usr/local/include:/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.2.8.sdk/usr/include setenv LIBRARY_PATH /usr/local/lib:/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.2.8.sdk/usr/lib/gcc/darwin/3.3 setenv LD_PREBIND 1 setenv CPPFLAGS -DMAC_OS_X_VERSION_MAX_ALLOWED=1020įor bash, “setenv foo bar” becomes “export foo=bar” (notice the ‘=’ sign). STEP 4: Optional 10.2 compatibility The instructions are:
:max_bytes(150000):strip_icc()/WinZip-57af7b605f9b58b5c2da7faf.jpg)
I followed all the instructions, and got these: Since I already got myself Audacity 1.2.6, I skipped this step. I got myself wxMac-2.4.2.tar.gz, and uncompress it (the instruction uses the terminal, but simply double clicking on the tar.gz should give the same result) I downloaded the source code of Audacity 1.2.6 from SourceForge, and have been following the compile instruction compile.txt, which is located in the “mac” directory from Audacity 1.2.6. I have been trying to compile Audacity in Mac, but I got a problem with WxMac.
